WATERVILLE - At 2 p.m. Friday, mile marker 124 on Interstate 95 became exit 124.
It's officially called the Trafton Road Interchange. And the barricades were removed today to allow traffic to enter and exit I-95.
The $3.5 million project was a partnership between the Federal Economic Development Administration, the City of Waterville and Trafton Properties.
A Maine Department of Transportation spokesman said the new on-and-off ramp is an effort to boost business growth in the Central Maine Region.
